Organized by: Faculty of Forestry at the University of British Columbia (UBC), Zhejiang A&F University, and the International Bamboo and Rattan Organization (INBAR), with support from several co-organizers, including the International Center for Bamboo and Rattan (ICBR) and other prominent universities and research institutes.
Key themes:
- Bamboo Ecology & Physiology: how bamboo adapts to various ecological conditions, its physiological responses to climate change, and its role in enhancing soil health and local ecosystems.
- Carbon Management & Livelihood: bamboo’s role in carbon sequestration, carbon offset programs, and agroforestry systems that benefit local communities economically.
- Biodiversity of Bamboo Forests: bamboo forests as biodiversity hotspots, habitat connectors, and contributors to ecosystem restoration.
- Emerging Technologies & Businesses: cutting-edge innovations in bamboo product development, circular economy practices, and bamboo-based business models.
If you wish to present your work, please submit an abstract for an oral presentation or poster. Whether you attend as a presenter or participant, this event will provide valuable opportunities to share insights and foster collaboration on bamboo-based climate solutions.
